Fresh off scoring his first career hat trick, Mattias Ekholm is questionable to play in the next Edmonton Oilers game.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch said Ekholm is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. The veteran defenceman was absent from practice on Wednesday.
The Oilers next play Thursday against the San Jose Sharks.
Ekholm, 35, had three goals as the Oilers beat the Anaheim Ducks 7-4 on Monday. He doubled his goal total for the season in that game and now has six goals and 26 points in 54 games.
